01 - Grievance Redressal Committee

The Grievance Redressal Cell is established to ensure transparency in admissions and with a paramount objective of preventing unfair practices. It is a mechanism to provide redressal of grievances to innocent and aggrieved students, in exercise of the power conferred under Clause 1 of Section 23 of the All India Council of Technical Education Act 1987 (52 of 1987).

Prestige Institute of Business Management, A Standalone Institution (PIBM) has evolved a fruitful and useful mechanism to find out solutions for the day to day problems and grievances of the students. A Grievance Redressal Cell has been constituted in accordance with the regulations of AICTE norms.

This cell is established with an aim and objective to provide the employees an easy and readily accessible mechanism for prompt disposal of their day to day grievances.

OBJECTIVES: -

The grievances may broadly include the following complaints of the aggrieved students

  • To formulate a policy for investigating and reviewing complaints or grievances raised by students and faculties.
  • To create awareness among students and faculty members regarding the availability of the Grievance Redressal Committee and the procedure for reporting grievances.
  • To investigate and address the causes of grievances in a fair and timely manner.
  • To obtain suggestions periodically from students for continuous improvement of institutional processes and services.
  • To address grievances related to attendance, examinations, academic issues, harassment, student-related concerns, and any other academic problems.

02 - Anti-Ragging Committee

With reference to the directives issued by UGC and AICTE, New Delhi, Prestige Institute of Business Management has constituted the Anti-Ragging Committee for the Academic Session 2026–27 to prevent ragging on the campus. The main objective is to promote healthy interaction and create a friendly environment between senior and newly admitted students so that they can interact, build mutual understanding, and develop positive relationships. However, ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. Ragging includes any disorderly conduct, whether by words spoken or written, or through any act that causes annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm, or creates fear, embarrassment, or humiliation among students. Such acts are generally committed by senior students towards newly admitted or junior students.

Objective :-

To prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging including any conduct by any student whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student, or indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student. To monitor, direct and oversee the functions and performance of the Anti-Ragging Squads in prevention and curbing of ragging in the institution.

03 - Internal Complaint Committee

In compliance with the instruction of national commission for women guidelines issue in implementation of the direction of Honourable Supreme Court Judgment Date 13™ Aug 1997 on the subject of sexual harassment of the women in the workplace we delay constituted a complaint committee for consider complaint of sexual harassment of women in our Institution.

Objective: -
  • To resolve issues pertaining to Girl/Women sexual harassment.
  • To Women Grievance redressed cell has been formed to resolve.
  • To equip the female students, faculties & staff members with knowledge of their legal right.
  • To safe guard the rights of female students, faculties &staff members.
  • To incorporate hygiene habits and ensure a healthy atmosphere in and around the college.
  • To ensure personality along with academic development of students.
Complaint Procedure: -
  • Any female who wants to file a complaint can do so by writing an application to the chairperson of WGRC. In case of sexual harassment, the complaint shall include the specific nature of the incident, date and place of incident, name of all parties involved as well as a detailed report of all pertinent facts.
  • A member who feels that she has been harassed is strongly urged to immediately bring the subject to the attention of a member women’s redressal committee. Inquiries and / or complaints will be investigated as quickly as possible. Any investigation will be conducted in confidential manner as compatible with a thorough investigation of complaint.
Punishment for Sexual Harassment: -

Harassment shell subject the accused to disciplinary action up to and including expelling from the Institute. However, if facts it is determined through the course of investigation, that the incident and thus the accusation were fabricated, the complaint will face sever disciplinary action up to and including expelling from the institution as per the prevailing rule of the government sexual harassment policy.

05 - Institution Industry Cell

Institution Industry Cell is established for bridge the gap between the institute and industry and thus enhancing the relationship among each other. This cell identifies the industrial expectation and promotes institutional preparation for meeting industrial needs by facilitating sponsored R&D projects, seminars, workshops and various other industrial training programmes. The aim of the cell is to make an effective contribution to educational system identifying the gap between academic curriculum and need of the industry. Institution Industry Cell promotes in equipping faculty to latest practices and makes the students industry-ready by providing exposure to current industry practices and hone their skills to adapt changing technologies. The primary focus of Institution Industry Cell is to interact with elite industries across the country and establish partnership them.

Function of the Cell: -

The institute has set up an Industry-Institute Partnership Cell with the following objectives

  • Bridging the gap between Industry-Institute by interactive programs
  • Promoting a partnership approach towards mobilizing industrial personnel.
  • To arrange for students’ industrial visit.
  • Organizing seminars, symposium, exhibitions and workshops both for faculties and students in cutting edge technologies to cater to the current need of the industry.
  • To arrange industrial training for students and faculty members.
  • To identify the opportunities for student project work in Industries.
  • To encourage the department level tie-ups or MoUs with Industries for the mutual benefit.
  • To promote consultancy activities and research and developmental activities with industry.
  • To enrich the teaching learning process through identified industrial gap.
  • To invite industry experts for guest lectures, seminars Brain-storming sessions and expertise sharing
Roles & Responsibilities of the Committee Members:
  • To initiate different collaboration with industries at institute level by identifying the industrial expectation and promoting institutional preparation for meeting industrial needs by facilitating project work, seminars, workshops and various other industrial training programs.
  • To identify the gap in the curriculum keeping in mind the Program Specific Outcome of their respective department and cater to them by initiating different events, workshop, industry visit etc. in collaboration with different industries.
  • To identify the need of the industry and current trend by getting the requirement from the students for initiating different events, workshop in collaboration with different industries.

06 - Student Grievance Redressal Committee

The Students Grievances Cell desires to promote and maintain a conducive and unprejudiced educational environment. The Cell enables a student to express feelings by initiating and pursuing the grievance procedure in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Institute.

‘Students Grievances Cell’ enquires and analyses the nature and pattern of the grievances in a strictly confidential manner. Emphasis on procedural fairness has been given with a view to “the right to be heard and right to be treated without bias”

Functions of Students Grievances Cell
  • To support students who have been deprived of any service(s) by any functional unit of the institute to which they are entitled.
  • To make the institute quick, responsive, and accountable in addressing students’ concerns and grievances.
  • To ensure effective resolution of students’ grievances through an impartial and fair approach.
  • To redress students’ grievances related to academic and administrative matters. To coordinate between students and various departments or sections of the institute for effective grievance redressal.
  • To guide students regarding the appropriate procedures and means for resolving their problems.
  • To create and maintain a harmonious educational environment within the institute.
